“HAIZI” (孩子), the pronunciation of children in mandarin, is the concept of this project. In ancient Asia, when a daughter was born, a liquor called “Daughter Red” would be made and buried. When the daughter was getting married, this liquor would be unburied and served during the wedding reception.

After thousands of years, making “Daughter Red” when having a baby girl and then drinking when the daughter got married became a custom in Shaoxing area. Afterwards, it happened when a baby boy too. Parents made and burred the liquor while the son was born. The liquor would also be drunk to celebrate the success of the son. Therefore, I apply this concept on HAIZI Whiskey. When the child is born, people can buy and store it until she/he gets married. Share the liquor and joy with everyone.
